I can't say enough good things about Bonnie! We were blessed with the opportunity to have her as our Doula. 
Me and my husband are in our early 20's having our first child. We took the birth classes, and while we felt more educated, we still didn't feel prepared. 
She accompanied me to an appointment with my Midwife, visited my home to go over our birth plan, and corresponded with me; checking in or sending informative articles. 
As a first time mom I had plenty of questions. Some were personal or excessively concerned on my part, which she answered unbiased and uncondescending. I was able to interact with her easily.
When I went into labor Bonnie came to my home shortly after and upon arrival was constantly working. When she wasn't doing hip squeezes helping me through contractions she was setting up pillows for me to rest or trying to help clean where my water had broken. One thing she was adamant about was drinking plenty of water, which I'm so grateful for, because at the end of labor I couldn't imagine being dehydrated on top of everything else. Another service she provides is placenta encapsulation. We utilized this and she was very thorough; emailing me pictures and details of each step in the process. It also included a lovely cord keepsake!
Even though I hadn't known Bonnie long she made me feel like I was laboring with a friend, not a stranger. She was able to separate her emotions and remain calm throughout the process. She is very involved at the birth center we used and always invited me to events there (like a class on breastfeeding or meeting other moms). She gave me plenty of websites to checkout and stores that I would like. Most importantly she gave us peace of mind. If you have any concerns or doubts I recommend hiring Bonnie, she brought a comfort to us that we couldn't have gone without.
